Faith United Church of Christ recognizes as its sole Head, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and Savior of humankind. It recognizes the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the Word of God and the ultimate rule of Christian faith and practices believing wherein interpretations differ, the individual shall rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit and liberty of conscience to direct him/her in matters of faith.
The avowed purpose of Faith United Church of Christ is to worship God, preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, celebrate the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism, and administer the rites (Confirmation, Ordination, Consecration, Marriage, and Christian Burial) of the church, to realize Christian fellowship toward humankind, and to strive for righteousness, justice, and peace.
